IndieWire recently voted THE DEVIL AND DANIEL JOHNSTON “The Best Music Documentary of the 21st Century.”

As a kid coming out of the fertile early punk and independent music underground and its pervasive do-it-yourself aesthetic, Feuerzeig was inspired by The Maysles, D.A. Pennebaker, and the American Indie Film movement. He cut his teeth as a film editor before successfully transitioning to commercial directing, and he’s been a player in the commercial & branded content world ever since, with notable campaigns for clients such as Google, Nokia, VICE, Samsung, IBM, HBO and RBC Bank.

Feuerzeig's impressive list of other entertainment directing credits include AUTHOR: THE JT LEROY STORY released in theaters by Amazon Studios and nominated in 2017 by the Writers Guild of America for Best Nonfiction Screenplay, and THE REAL ROCKY for ESPN’s acclaimed “30 for 30” series.

Other creative projects include: CHUCK aka THE BLEEDER (co-written with Jerry Stahl) starring Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts, the Johnny Paycheck pilot episode and two George Jones & Tammy Wynette episodes of MIKE JUDGE PRESENTS: TALES FROM THE TOUR BUS, an Animated Nonfiction music series for HBO, and HBO PRESENTS BACKSTORIES, an Animated Nonfiction series profiling the creators of such HBO hit shows as GAME OF THRONES, THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES and BARRY.

Feuerzeig is a creative force whose talents are most fully realized when he gets involved early in the content creation process, often collaborating with creatives during the concepting phase to develop ideas around his unique creative approach of blending audio and visual media. Feuerzeig has become known for his docu-style storytelling that mixes live action, 2D and 3D animation, still photography, sound design, and other art forms to create a kaleidoscope of storytelling and imagery.
